On the morning of March 31, the Xiongan Blockchain Laboratory was officially inaugurated, marking that the Xiongan New Area's blockchain innovation practice has entered the stage of organization and large-scale implementation. At the opening ceremony, Li Jun, deputy director of Xiongan Blockchain Lab, introduced the basic situation of Xiongan Blockchain Lab.
Li Jun: What does Xiongan Blockchain Lab do? What is its organizational structure? What results do you plan to develop? I will answer them one by one here.
Xiongan is a fertile soil. To build a new type of smart city and develop a digital economy, there is a demand for blockchain and other emerging information technologies. The positioning of Xiongan Blockchain Lab is to give priority to research and serve the construction of new smart cities in Xiongan New District. Blockchain technology, application scenarios and application concepts required by the development of the digital economy. At the same time, gather people, fully carry out exchanges and cooperation, do application demonstrations connecting earth and gas, make good technology and good products, and promote good experience outside of Xiong'an to serve a wider area.
Xiongan Blockchain Laboratory's main work includes blockchain technology research and development, blockchain application practice, philosophy and industry research.
Xiongan Blockchain Laboratory will work towards three goals: First, it will become a new highland for blockchain research and application, integrating blockchain technology, blockchain application, and other smart technologies. Xiongan Blockchain Laboratory should lead and surpass the field of application and the application concept related to the blockchain. Second, to become an open frontier innovation base. Xiongan Blockchain Lab is also an open innovation base, open to the whole society, open to the world, open to cutting-edge smart technologies, open to innovative talents, and open to innovative ideas. The general organizational structure of the Xiong'an Blockchain Laboratory is to hire well-known academicians, experts, and scholars at home and abroad to form an "Academic Leading Committee" to provide guidance for the laboratory's development planning and research work. At the same time, for the operation of the laboratory, four centers are set up, namely, a technology research and development center, a standard evaluation center, an industry incubation center, and a promotion and application center.
